Presenter CPD Hours

To prepare for a presentation it is expected that the person presenting will need to read widely and research the topic they are speaking on. Taking this into consideration additional CPD hours are awarded to the presenter of a approved CPD activity only. The below CPD hours are only applicable to a presentation that has been verified by the NZIDT. If the presentation has been approved by another verifier their criteria should be applied. It is not expected that the additional hours fully reflect the numbers of hours that it would take to create a presentation. The hours awarded are scaled according to the number of times a presentation has been delivered.

Ratio of hours for presenters of approved CPD

1:3 for new presentation - e.g. 1 hour presentation + 3 hours research time = 4 hours CPD

1:2 for second delivery - e.g. 1 hour presentation + 2 hours research time = 3 hours CPD

1:1 thereafter - e.g. 1 hour presentation + 1 hours research time = 2 hours CPD
