NZIDT Annual Conference 2012 (Wellington)

The NZIDT Annual Conference 2012 is going to be held on Friday and Saturday the 26th and 27th of October at Te Papa, Wellington. This venue will provide a wide range of attractions for you outside of the conference as well. There will be 1 stream with the various disciplines / topic areas being spread out evenly over the 1 1/2 days. This format was very successful last year and the conference survey reflected that in general this was preferred. The conference will open with a key presenter on the Friday, with one key speaker for C&B technicians and one for clinical dental technicians. On the Saturday the conference will continue for the morning until lunch after which the AGM will be held.

We are delighted to have secured Thomas Sing as a keynote speaker for our conference this year. Mr Sing is Bavarian born, trained under some of the worlds greats such as Willi Geller, Thilo Vock, Uli Werder Walter Gebhard and working with other big names in the dental technology and oral design world.

Yugo Hatai will be discussing his advanced training programme and there will be plenty of time for delegates to speak to him at break times.

Megan Sharpe, Ron Winter and Vincent Bennani are some of the other speakers conference attendees can look forward to hearing the latest from.

As a special feature this year we have also booked a business speaker you may have heard of, John Anderson of Contiki. John is the inadvertant instigator of Contiki by meeting a need he had. His business knowledge from building this business up along with his other experiences, successes and failures along the way he shares in an inspiring and humorous way. His father has a link to the dental profession... come along and hear all about it.

The conference entertainment this year will be The Noodles, with their wide ranging repertoir we are sure to be entertained for the night. The Conference dinner will be on the Friday and it is hoped this will make for a very enjoyable conference.

The Annual General Meeting for the conference will be held at the end of proceedings on the Saturday afternoon. By having the dinner on the Friday and the AGM last thing on the Saturday you will be able to depart early on the Saturday and will not need to stay the extra night if you do not wish to do so.
